Situated within the historic Tselinny Cinema—a Soviet-era landmark reimagined by a British architectural firm as a center for contemporary culture—JER Café seamlessly bridges the past and the present.
The interior design harmonizes with the building’s dual identity, extending its material palette of stainless steel and earthy tones while drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape in the form of custom furniture. A striking tribute to heritage is the preserved sgraffito wall by Sidorkin, presented with its missing fragments intact.
Opposite it, a meticulously rendered blueprint displays the artist’s original vision, creating a dialogue between preservation and restoration. Timeless design is further celebrated through Artek stools, tables, and chairs, whose universal aesthetic adapts effortlessly to any context. Complementing this is an innovative addition of bio-textile panels, symbolizing Tselinny’s commitment to global modernity and sustainability.
JER Café stands as a thoughtful convergence of tradition, functionality, and forward-thinking design.
